5 Intercalary Days& 360 Standard Days divided into 12 Triads (like months)These are shown in

greenon the above graphicThey are called 'Triads' (which means 'group of three') because they are based around the number 3. There are 3 of them in each Quarter Season and they each have 3 'Decans' of 10 Days, making them all exactly 30 Days long.

They closely align with the Zodiac Star Signs of Western Tropical Astrology, from Aries♈ through to Pisces♓ as shown around the edge of the calendar circle.

The Triad is the basis of the whole Calendar

All Triads are identical and run the same every year!

12 Triads x 30 Days = 360 Days = 1 Day for each °Degree of the Earth's orbit
