The 'Astronomology' of EIGHT-Scorpio♏
The 8th Triad Month of the UCC Year
Starts on Day 215 of the Year
Date: 1st Libra♎ UCC [08.01]
(c21st October Gregorian)
On Day 215 of the UCC Year we reach the 1st day of the 8th Triad (30 Day Month)
The Sun ☉ is approaching the 14 Hour Right Ascension line of astronomical measurement in the celestial sphere
Correspondingly then at this time the Earth ⊕ reaches the first point of Taurus♉ in its spiral around the Sun
The Star Sign of Scorpio♏ in astrology corresponds to the 2 hours of Right Ascension from 14hrs to 16hrs - the 30° of the ecliptic from 210° to 240° - in astronomy
So, this "Astronomological" event means we can call our 8th Triad 'EIGHT-Scorpio♏' as it very closely aligns with the Astrological Star Sign ♏ AND its equivalent Astronomical sector of the sky (the Sun ☉ actually enters 0° of the Star Sign Scorpio♏ on the 3rd day of this Triad Month as you can see below)
It is also the second of the 3 Triads of our 3rd Quarter Season; Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring in the Southern Hemisphere
EIGHT-Scorpio♏ comprises of the Decans (10 Day Weeks) 22, 23 & 24 and runs from Day 215 thru 244 of the Year as you can see in the excerpt below from the Gregorian Calendar Converter for the Year 13515
As you can see, this Triad Month also includes the 'Mid Season Festival of Scorpio [☉⊗♏]' which closely correlates to the ancient festival of 'Samhain'
And, the Sun symbol '☉' at Day 3 in the graphic above indicates that the Sun ☉ actually enters the Star Sign Scorpio♏ during Day 217 of the Year on 3rd Scorpio♏ UCC, showing how closely our UCC Triad Months align with their equivalent Astrological Star Signs.
(The reason for the 2 day discrepancy is explained at the bottom of the page)
We can see the Astronomy of this time in the screen shots below from the package 'Stellarium'
The Sun ☉ at 13 Hours 45 Mins Right Ascension on 1st Day of EIGHT-Scorpio♏ 13515 UCC
Above we can see the Sun ☉ on its ecliptic path (the red line) approaching the 14 Hour RA line of the celestial grid during the 1st Day of this Triad Month
The Sun ☉ crosses the 14 Hour RA line on the 5th Day of this Triad Month as shown below
The Triad Month 'EIGHT-Scorpio♏' closely corresponds to the 2 hours of Right Ascension from 14hrs-16hrs.
[Right Ascension is measured Eastward (to the left in the pic) from the '1st Point of Aries' (♈), what I call the 'Nobenox', at 0 Hours RA, where the Sun's Ecliptic path intersects the Celestial Equator rising North]
This Astronomical section of the sky, and therefore our Triad Month of EIGHT-Scorpio♏ and the Astrological Star Sign '♏', are currently occupied by the Constellation 'Libra' due to Precession
The Star Sign Scorpio♏ is named after the Constellation 'Scorpio' (The Scorpion) which it aligns with through one 'Age' (a roughly 2000 year period) during each 24,000 Year 'Great Year' cycle of Precession
We can see the Astrology of this 8th Triad Month in the screen shot below from Planet Watcher
The Sun ☉ at 28°♎ on 1st Day of EIGHT-Scorpio♏ 13515 UCC
The Sun ☉ Enters The Star Sign Scorpio (♏) during the 3rd Day of this Triad Month as shown below
The Sun ☉ enters The Star Sign Scorpio, shown at 0°♏, at 11:45UTC (GMT) on 3rd Scorpio♏ UCC.
Scorpio ♏ - The Scorpio
The Star Sign Scorpio♏ (The Scorpion) is a 'Fixed' / 'Negative' (Female) / 'Water' sign
It is representative of 'Secrets' and rules the generative (sex) organs in the body
Its 'Ruling Planet' is Mars (♂)
The slight misalignment between the astronomy, the astrology and the Triad Month are because the earth's orbit is elliptical rather than round and its axis is tilted which means that the orbit doesn't fit exactly within a circle
In astrology, the Star Signs divide the ecliptic into equal 30° segments
But, the Sun spends more time - 187 days - above the equator than it does below - 178 days - making the seasons, and therefore the months, slightly different in length
The UCC balances the Seasons via its 5 special Intercalary days making them all exactly 90 days each, and the Triad Months all exactly 30 Days each.
But the Sun actually spends a bit more time in Quarter 2 (Cancer, Leo & Virgo) than it does in Quarter 4 (Capricorn, Aquarius & Pisces) as it is further away from the earth during Quarter 2 due to the ellipse and therefore appears to travel slower in the sky making that part of the year a little longer.
The slide below shows when the nearest and furthest points of the elliptical orbit occur
